If you’ve ever driven through Lake Havasu City, you’ve probably noticed the first sign of our ever-changing seasons . . . license plates. From California to Canada, the influx of visitors tells you exactly what time of year it is. But Lake Havasu isn’t just a seasonal destination ~ it’s a lifestyle. One that offers sun-soaked summers, fun-filled winters and something for everyone all year round.
Summer in Havasu: Sun, Sand and Splash
Lake Havasu summers are legendary. With sunshine nearly every day, it’s no wonder boats fill the lake, jet skis zip across the water and waterfront restaurants are packed with people soaking up the scene. Locals and visitors alike take full advantage of the long days, warm nights and the undeniable energy that comes with living in a desert paradise.
Pool parties are a staple in Havasu homes, especially those classic pool homes that were practically made for entertaining. Many feature resort-style backyards perfect for BBQs, floatie-filled afternoons and making the most of the summer heat.
Winter Visitors & the Changing Scene
As the heat mellows out in the fall, Havasu welcomes its “Winter Visitors”, the seasonal residents escaping colder climates. You’ll see RVs rolling into town and mobile resorts filling up with friendly faces ready for a winter of sunshine. RV homes and park models become hot commodities during this time, offering flexibility, community and all the comforts of home.
Winter also brings a different rhythm to the city. The lake may be quieter, but the town comes alive in a whole new way.
